| Aptech Computer Education organizes Job Fair in Kolkata |
Aptech Computer Education organized a Job Fair on 21st June, 2008 at Rash Behari Avenue in Kolkata. The Fair was open to all job seekers - graduates, freshers & professionals - who were looking for better opportunities in the IT industry.
Realizing the fact that IT and ITES organizations are desperate to find suitable manpower, Aptech took this initiative to bridge the gap between employers and prospective employees.
Leading companies like DataInfocom Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd, DS Infotech, Patel Information Technology Services, Euphoria Infotech, I-Net Solutions, Computronix Services, as well as leading BPOs participated in the Fest to acquire a talent pool for their organizations. 650 students attended the Job Fair and 456 interviews took place. Group discussions were organized for 194 students. Finally, 50 students have been short-listed for posts in various companies.
Commenting on the Job Fair, Lajita Thampi, Placement Head - Aptech, says, “Through this Fair in Kolkata, Aptech offered a unique platform for aspiring candidates to reach out to the best employers. This presented an opportunity for young professionals to explore various avenues and growth prospects in the industry. Besides, through such initiatives, employers too get a chance to draw talent from Tier II cities.”
So far, Aptech Computer Education has organized such Job Fests in Tier I & Tier II cities and met with tremendous response. Aptech will continue this endeavour to include all metros and mini-metros across the nation.
